Misses Extra Small to Extra Large; Child's 4-14.

This sewing pattern for the traditional costume of Korea is composed of two garments; the chogori, or short jacket, and chima, or full dress. The wrap dress drapes gracefully and the jackets ribbon accented V-neck draws attention to the face.

The dress (chima) is pleated to a band above the bust, wraps in back, and ties in front.

The Jacket (chogori) has elegantly shaped sleeves, wide cuff bands, and narrow ribbon trim along the neckline. It crosses in front and ties in a single knot bow with tails that drape towards the knee.

Wear both components of the han-bok in the traditional way, the dress alone as a sheer summery sundress, or the jacket as a dramatic art-to-wear companion to a simple dress or tunic.

Pattern includes historical notes about the Han-Bok and design motifs from different periods of Korea's history. Note: the bows on some of our models are not tied in the traditional and correct manner. The correct bow tie is to have a single loop and one longer 'tail' on the tie.

This is the paper pattern. For the .

Suggested fabrics: For Dress, sheer or lightweight fabrics with drape, such as silks, cottons, rayon, or polyester blends. For Jacket,  lightweight fabrics with more body, such as linen or taffeta.
